Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. changes the name of the company to Panasonic Ltd.. The brand is united to Panasonic.

The turning point of the 90th anniversary of founding has been all faced, a name of the company and a global brand are united, and enterprise also ..becoming empty.. changes "Matsushita" and "National" to "Panasonic" in the crown in addition in the group according to release. To attempt the union of domestic brands, all activities of the group are concentrated on the value improvement of the Panasonic brand. The change in the name of the company and the brand name schedules October 1.

Therefore, Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd. and Matsushita industrial Infomashonshistemuz also change the name of the company to "Panasonic electrical engineering" and "Panasonic electrical engineering Infomashonshistemuz" respectively on October 1. As for the National brand, it is scheduled to start the switch to Panasonic, and to abolish it in around fiscal year 2009 simultaneously with the company name change.

There is a lot of Mr. electric appliances store of individual business scattered in television CM and the town who sees and has heard "National" name. There must be still a lot of electric appliances stores where the name of "National" is cut (especially, small scale) in the signboard and the shutter now though the brand name is not so seen.
