Meiji Seika Kaisha clarified that the (LDL) cholesterol with a bad high polyphenol cocoa as a result to man of the clinical trial was decreased in cooperation with heavy professor Hiroshi Itakura at Ibaraki Christian College and Prof. Kazuo Kondo at Ochanomizu Women's University on January 10, and there was an effect of raising good (HDL) cholesterol. Details of study results are announced by "The 42th Japanese geriatric diseases (lifestyle disease) academic society" held on January 12. Meiji Seika Kaisha is developing a lot of cocoa commodities, and the development of the commodity using this effect will be thought in the future.([Press Release])
